On behalf of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity, welcome to the University of Houston. We hope that you are having an excellent summer break, and we know that getting back into the rhythm of school can be a tough transition. 

Beta Theta Pi believes college men should be recognized for their success and for their desire to achieve. For 178 years, Beta has been in the business of developing men of principle for a principled life. Beta Theta Pi provides strong relationships, leadership opportunities and personal development. For many of our members, these skills have transferred to professional life. You have probably heard of some of them: Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, retail guru Bruce Nordstrom, Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman, and Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan.

Eligibility

Everyone experiences difficulties in their 1^st year on campus, including our own fraternity. To help with some of the problems that might arise, we are offering our Men of Principle Scholarship totaling $500 to non-Greek male students at UH with no obligation to join the fraternity. The scholarship is designed to reward individuals who demonstrate devotion to academic achievement and a commitment to making the university and the community better places to live. Most importantly, we seek those who desire to develop skills that will not only help them become successful in college, but will also carry over to their professional and personal lives.
